I Will Wait

I will wait for you
As long as the sun is shining
And the moon hangs in the night time sky

Patience is a virtue
Carrying me through the roughest waters
Wanting to run
But remaining in place

Until peace can reside
And civility is restored
We can then move on

I will remain
Feet firmly planted in love
It will see me through
Until we meet in the middle

No longer adversaries
But committed to the common cause
Love will see us throughWoman-man-on-separate-benches2

    This was written through some turbulent times in my life. I like to say that the situation has gotten better but we have miles more to go,.
